Overview

The successful candidate will provide high-quality site remediation services to our current clients throughout the region, as well as establish new relationships to continue to build the firm’s environmental division. Responsibilities

  • Use established relationships with clients and regulatory agencies to procure and manage the scope, schedule, budget, and delivery of investigation and remediation projects.
  • Lead and direct a team of staff engineers and scientists in contaminated site investigation and remediation efforts under either state or federal regulatory programs.
  • Responsible for client management, and management of project scope, safety, quality, schedule, budget and profitability.
  • Foster the sustained growth of an environmental division by utilizing MFS’s established reputation coupled with candidate’s credentials, experience, and reputation.

Experience

  • LSRP
  • B.S. (M.S. a plus) in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
  • 10+ years professional experience in the environmental consulting field
  • 4-6 years project management experience.
  • 3+ years supervisory/management experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience serving industrial, commercial, and municipal clients.
  • Leadership skills in management/conducting remediation projects in various environmental investigation phases (i.e., PA/SI, Phase I/II, RI, RA) including project planning and permitting.
  • Proficient knowledge of New Jersey regulations (e.g. SRRA, ARRCS, SRP, ISRA, TRSR, UST) and associated technical guidance documents with particular emphasis on remediation and due diligence projects in New Jersey and a strong understanding of New Jersey technical requirements.
  • Proficient knowledge of CERCLA/RCRA, USEPA, and NYSDEC regulations a plus.
  • Investigation, remedial planning, permitting, and remediation of air, water, wastewater, vapor, soils, sediment, and other media, and issuing RAOs.
  • Demonstrated experience with preparing cost estimates, proposal scoping, budgeting and implementation of complex and long term site investigation and remediation programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff engineers, geologists and scientists.
