Overview

The successful candidate will assist Project Engineers with a wide range of projects and tasks including, site design for industrial, energy, healthcare, education and government clients. Duties will include preparation of AutoCAD drawings, reports, and technical specification. Site design tasks will include site layout, site grading, storm sewer design, sanitary sewer design, water main design, project phasing, and other site design components. Candidate will also assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation services including reporting and monitoring contractor’s compliance with contract documents. This position  requires work primarily out of the South Plainfield, NJ office but may occasionally work out of the NYC office.

Responsibilities

  • B.S. in Civil Engineer required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • 3-5 years of relevant site/civil engineering experience. EIT Certification preferred.
  • Familiar with Township ordinance codes and storm water management design manuals from various states.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications as well as strong design skills.
  • Must be motivated and excited to grow with a small firm.

Preferences

  • M.S. in Civil Engineering a plus
  • Project management experience a plus
