Overview

Structural Engineer shall assist Project Manager to develop structural engineering design reports and construction documents. This person will develop the structural design from concept to final, and assist Project Manager throughout construction phases. Structural Engineer will perform periodic special inspections during construction.

Structural Engineer shall assist Project Manager to develop structural engineering design reports and construction documents. This person will develop the structural design from concept to final, and assist Project Manager throughout construction phases. Structural Engineer will perform periodic special inspections during construction.

Experience

  • Possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering, required.
  • Requires 3 - 5 years of professional structural design experience.
  • Design experience in analysis of structural systems, building design, permanent foundation and earth retaining structures, temporary structural systems, and performing structural evaluations.
  • Must have a working knowledge of all local codes and ordinances governing the design of structures including but not limited to the NYC Building Code and AASHTO Specifications for Highway Bridges.

Preferences

  • M.S. in Civil Engineering, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications as well as strong design skills.
  • Experience mentoring staff.
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of New York or State of New Jersey, preferred.
