MFS is proud to announce that one of our Senior Partners, Michael L. Mudalel, has been selected for NJBIZ Forty Under Forty Award, a prestigious list that includes young business owners throughout the Garden State who share a commitment to business growth, to professional excellence and to the community.
A Columbia University graduate, Mudalel started his professional career at Langan Engineering. Four years later, he helped to found MFS, a far-fetched ambition that began with just four partners on the floor of a one-bedroom apartment on the east side of New York City.
Within 10 years Mudalel and his partners had grown MFS Engineers & Surveyors to over 100 employees spanning three offices in New Jersey, New York and Puerto Rico and added two additional facets of business, MFS Solar and MFS Construction. As a Senior Associate Engineer at MFS, he currently leads the Geotechnical Engineering Department for the firm.
While continuing to build the business, Mudalel is an active member of many organizations, volunteering his time and energies to The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), The Deep Foundation Institute (DFI) The Americian Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), New Jersey Alliance for Action, Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and is an advisory board member at Investors Bank.
The secret to his success, he shares, is a solid team and support from all those who encouraged his dream. He acknowledges, "It is a true honor to be recognized among such a great pool of talent that New Jersey has to offer. I would not be here without the continued support of my family, partners, and MFS staff."
