Project Details

MFS Consulting Engineers & Surveyor, DPC (MFS) provided professional land surveying services in support of the Crossway Water Main Replacement project. MFS was obtained by Woodard & Curran, Inc. to provide topographic and utility survey services for the replacement of the water main on Crossway between Weaver Street and Mamaroneck Road.

MFS’s limited survey included edge of pavement, bottom of curb, corners of driveways, visible water curb stops to each house, visible sanitary cleanouts, manholes, inlets, valve covers, utility/light poles, fire hydrants, and other surface utility structures, existing subsurface utility mark out. Within

the limits of the paved roadway, MFS developed contours at a (1) one-foot interval. Rim elevations were obtained for storm and sanitary sewers. At accessible and unobstructed manholes and inlets, MFS’ team obtained down measurements to determine pipe inverts, and measured the diameter of the pipe.
