Project Overview

MFS Engineers & Surveyor provided New York City Department of Parks & Recreation (NYCDPR) with geotechnical/ environmental engineering services to assist in the soil testing for two green street locations which will provide additional stormwater runoff drainage for the area.

Project Details

The green street locations are found at the intersections of 80th Street & Dry Harbor Road in Queens, New York and Sagamore Street & Cruger Street in Bronx, New York. The NYCDPR retained MFS for geotechnical/environmental engineering services to characterize the subsurface conditions, install a monitoring well to measure the impact of infiltration rates and influence on the ground water table, and conduct a double-ring infiltrometer test.
