MFS Engineers & Surveyors has been contracted to provide professional site/civil engineering and permitting services in support of Marvel Architects for the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) in the construction of The Bronx Animal Care Center and Veterinary Medical Clinic, an 88,200 square foot lot located in the borough of the Bronx, New York.
MFS’ site/civil engineering team will be assisting Marvel in the Schematic Design Phase and the Design Development phase. During the Schematic Design (SD) Investigation Phase MFS will be conducting a site visit to assess the existing on-site utilities and determine whether these utilities are adequate for the proposed building and defi e the areas that require new storm water, gas, electric, sanitary, and potable water upgrades, including required Green Infrastructure feasibility studies.
MFS will prepare all relevant documents in adherence to code and requirements by pertinent authorities, as well as providing fi al c construction documents after DDC Design and constructability review and upon approval by NYCDDC and the Client Agency, incorporating all review comments and recommendations into a final set of construction documents for bidding and procurement purposes. Upon the successful completion of the 100% CD Phase, MFS will submit the final bid drawings to NYCDDC.
In addition, MFS has prepared the Site Connection Proposal and the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for NYCDEP permitting approval for the new facility construction.
