Project Details

MFS’ structural team conducted an initial site visit to visually observe the existing structural conditions within the cellar floor and rooftop. MFS reviewed all available information including historical soil boring information, reports, as-built structural drawings, surveys, site plans, and utility plans.

MFS supported the design team by providing a structural design that included a new reinforced concrete pad for the AC unit in the cellar, concrete repairs to the exposed rebar and spalled concrete in the cellar boiler room roof slab, and an analysis of the existing roof dunnage to support the new equipment to confirm it was structural adequate. Additionally, MFS reframed around the existing roof dunnage as needed to accommodate the new rooftop units.

MFS finalized the structural design documents and provided the necessary deliverables in each phase of work submission; schematic/design development, and 75% & 100% construction documents. The deliverables included structural drawings, supporting calculations, technical specifications, and a structural narrative reviewed and signed by a New York licensed Professional Engineer.
