MFS’s survey services included performing a topographic and utility survey, mapping locations of right-of-way, property lines and easement lines. Services included providing ground control for aerial mapping to support the preparation of AutoCAD mapping for the project area. MFS’s survey team performed the aerial mapping and obtained new color digital aerial photography. MFS located the same areas in the field to determine horizontal coordinates and elevations of each photo control point.
MFS additionally provided 3D laser scanning of the underside of the New England Thruway bridge and the Boston Road bridge near the west bank of the Hutchinson River to determine location of pertinent structures and any utility piping/conduits.
MFS’s site/civil team prepared the site plan packages for two new site developments at the Screenings Building site and the Drainage Pump Station site, which consisted of site data including redeveloped site features including landscaped areas, parking, sidewalk and curb layout, stormwater management, site grading, and new utility layout. A NYCDEP Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) was prepared describing the site evaluation and assessment, erosion and sediment controls practices, construction inspection requirements, and post construction stormwater control practices.
A site utility plan was prepared to depict new water, sanitary, gas, electric, IT, security, and fire services from adjacent city and private owned utilities. MFS provided a Civil Pavement, Sidewalk, and Curb Right-of-Way Restoration Plan noting the different restoration scope limits of work. MFS provided the NYC DOT Sidewalks, Curbs, Roadway, and Other Infrastructure Components (SCARA) application for all work within the ROW including improvements to the asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, and additional site features.
A Construction Monitoring Plan was provided for identifying the locations of the monitoring system and the monitoring criteria for each monitoring system. The monitoring plan also included the monitoring system type details and specifications that were required.
