Project Overview

MFS Construction, LLC (MFS) was contracted by NPS to provide the labor, materials, and equipment to perform the construction services at Gateway National Recreation Area at Sandy Hook Unit (SAHO).

Project Details

This project consisted of the repairing of critical system building components of multiple buildings at SAHO. The work included roof repair, repair and painting of windows and exterior trim, and installation of a below-grade propane tank.

As the general contractor, MFS provided full-time on-site supervision, daily reports, and coordination with the National Park Service and park visitors through the course of work. MFS secured each work area prior to work start in order to protect and maintain pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

This task order was a result of MFS Construction, LLC being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Alt/Repair Construction Services Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of real property to support the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA).
