Project Overview

MFS Construction, LLC (MFS) was contracted by NPS to provide the labor, materials, and equipment to accomplish the rehabilitation of building systems for Building #20 located at Sandy Hook Unit at Gateway National Recreation Area.

Project Details

The project consisted of the removal and replacement of old roofing material, rotted wood repairs, window replacement or repairs, exterior painting, boiler replacement, replacement of exterior lighting fixtures and propane tank installation.

As the general contractor, MFS provided full-time on-site supervision, daily reports, and coordination with the National Park Service and park visitors through the course of work. MFS secured each work area prior to work start in order to protect and maintain pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

This task order was a result of MFS Construction, LLC being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Alt/Repair Construction Services Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of real property to support the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA).
