Project Overview

MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided NYCDOB Class 1 Special Inspection Agency Services including administrative, coordination, field inspection, lab and testing, and reporting services for the BK6 Salt Lot Improvements Project in Brooklyn, New York for the New York City Department of Sanitation, Bureau of Solid Management.

Project Details

The work consisted of special inspections for quality assurance and quality control of soils testing, reinforced concrete and material testing, and structural steel (including details and high strength bolting) across the project site during the construction of four new buildings.

MFS’s Geotechnical and Structural Engineering team roles and responsibilities included field oversight, developing a site inspection report, and ensuring that the construction was in accordance with the approved contract documents.
