Project Details

The MFS scope of work was specifically for the approximately 800-foot long “bathtub” roadway section of the JFK Expressway between two road bridges and passing beneath two airplane taxiways. The lowest portion of the “bathtub” in the left lane of the northbound JFK Expressway has been experiencing a suspected water leakage/infiltration which has resulted in ponding for many years. As part of the rehabilitation effort, MFS identified potential causes for the ongoing water infiltration/leakage and ponding evaluated any past attempts to remedy the issue, and provided potential solutions for the pavement rehabilitation at the area of concern at the project site.
