Project Overview

MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided professional structural engineering services to support the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) Journal Square Transportation Center Project in Jersey City, New Jersey in conjunction with Kapris, Inc. acting as the General Contractor. The project consisted of the reconstruction of the existing bathrooms within the public area of the PATH Transportation Center.

Project Details

MFS' Structural Engineering Team supported the project by providing the structural analysis and design for the temporary construction barrier and permanent nonstructural partition framing walls, their associated connections to the ceiling, and stabilizing elements at the ground floor level. In addition, MFS reviewed project specifications and contract drawings and provided design plans for vertical suspension supports and anchored connections into the existing ceiling slabs to support new architectural ceilings, fixtures and mechanical equipment.
